Maybe it’s only Tuesday, but that’s practically Wednesday, which means the week is half over (kind of)! You know what that means—cocktails!
Walking around the grocery store, we were inspired by all the delectable berries that are fresh out of hibernation. For this week’s Signature Sips, we wanted to celebrate the blueberry! Delicious in a muffin, pancake, or scone…and equally as tasty in a cocktail!
Step one: ingredients
For the Blueberry Mojito, you’ll need:
- White rum
- Champagne or Prosecco
- Fresh mint
- Crushed ice
Step two: muddle
To really expose the flavor profiles of this cocktail, a little muddling is in order. First, place a generous amount of blueberries and chiffoned mint into a glass.
Next, add the juice of one lime to each glass.
Now, using a spoon or muddler, lightly smash the berries, mint, and lime together. No need to obliterate the ingredients, but muddle until fragrant.
Step three: rum
Top your muddled mixture with crushed ice and one to two ounces of rum.
Step four: bubbly
Almost there! Fill your glass to the top with Champagne or your favorite bubbly!
Step five: garnish
Top with some extra blueberries, a slice of lime, and some fresh mint. You can even thread some berries onto a stirrer for an extra fun touch!
